Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern use of Findthevalueof, the researched valuation service operated by Biodefine Ltd. They explain that reports are estimates for personal use rather than professional appraisals, how credits and refunds work, who owns uploaded photos, the limits on liability, and that the laws of England and Wales apply. Last updated 8 May 2026.
What a Findthevalueof report is, and what it is not
Reports are provided for information and personal use. They are estimates built from the photos and details you supply plus researched market data — not a professional appraisal, and not financial or legal advice. Findthevalueof is not a licensed appraiser, does not buy or sell items, and does not guarantee an item will sell for the estimated figure. For decisions about buying, selling, or insuring, the terms recommend also seeking a professional opinion. You agree not to present a report as an official appraisal certificate or use one to mislead anyone.
Credits, refunds and account rules
You buy credits and spend them on reports; one credit covers one item analysis unless stated otherwise at purchase. Payment goes through Stripe, and prices are as quoted at the time you buy — already-purchased credits are not repriced. Credits are tied to your account, cannot be transferred or resold, and have no cash value. Refunds run in two tiers under Section 5.2: automatic return of the credit where an analysis fails to complete or falls short of our stated standard, and otherwise a 14-day request reviewed individually, where the first remedy is normally to re-run the analysis. Disagreement with an estimated range is not, by itself, a defect. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected. Users must be 18 or over.
Your photos, liability limits and governing law
You keep ownership of every photo and description you upload. Findthevalueof takes only the licence needed to run and improve the service, and never uses customer photos or results in the public Examples page or marketing. You can delete items or your whole library from your account, after which files are removed from primary storage within 30 days and from backups within 90 days. The service is provided "as is", and total liability is capped at what you have paid in the preceding 12 months, with the exceptions the law does not permit to be limited. English and Welsh law governs; the full text is on this page.
